CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES

Art —In art groups and classes, participants discover endless opportunities for creativity through a variety of art media. Any physical challenges are mitigated by adaptive equipment and alternative techniques. Goals often include increased coordination, attention span, socialization and self confidence.​​
Music — In music groups and classes, participants are provided opportunities to experience a wide variety of melodic and percussive instruments for self expression and cooperative group experiences. As a result, listening to and playing various musical styles helps participants to connect with a variety of cultures and modes of self-expression. Participants may experience improved motor skills, impulse control, self esteem, and an appreciation for others through their exploration of music.​
Community Inclusion — Participants have the opportunity to be citizens in their own communities. Participants have the opportunity to develop relationships with community members while visiting art venues, concerts, stores, restaurants, coffee houses, parks, and other public spaces.
​Group Therapy — Group therapy sessions are available to all Encore & CAVA participants. They are facilitated by our staff therapists. Participants have the opportunity to receive support with life stressors and personal issues.
